Uploading and tagging records in bulk

How-To: John clicks “Records” from the top Main Menu and sees Suppl#12. He clicks on “Add New” and sees Suppl#17.  He fills-in as follows:

• Title: “Italy 2022 with Michael and Emma”

• Description: Empty

• Summary: Empty

• Keeps the defaults for Private/Shared/Public. (Photos will default to Private).

• Keeps the default for Legacy. (Photos will be Legacy=ON)

• Tags: He adds a new Tag, “Italy 2022”, which he creates on the fly.

• He drags and drops photos from his computer to the upload box.

Following the last action above, he sees Suppl#18 and notices that all photos have inherited the settings he chose above. He then spots one image that is not related to the trip. He removes it by clicking on its trash bin icon. Finally, he clicks on the “Add Records(s)” button.

The system creates x separate records, where x is the total number of photos John uploaded. Each record can be individually edited, deleted, shared, etc. All records carry the same Tag, “Italy 2022”.

Variation: Contributing to a Premium User’s Profile

Premise: John now wants to give Emily, Michael, and Emma access to his “Italy 2022” photos. Furthermore, he wants to grant all three the ability to modify the titles and descriptions to any of the photos he has uploaded, and even contribute to his Profile their own photos related to their vacation.

How-To: John creates new contacts category “Italy trip 2022” with “Share NOW” ON (Suppl#35) and adds Emily, Michael, and Emma in that category by editing each of their contact records separately (Suppl#33). He then accesses “Tags” from the top Main Menu and starts typing “Ital…” in the Filters section, Tag Name box (Suppl#24). “Italy 2020” will show as at least one option to choose from. This allows him to quickly find Tag “Italy 2022”.

Once Tag “Italy 2022” is on his screen, John clicks its “Shared” radio button, which displays the “Shared access” toggle (Suppl#27). He clicks on “+” inside the “Shared access” toggle and starts typing “Ital…”. He chooses Contacts Category “Italy trip 2022” from the automatically displayed list and slides “Contributor” flag to the ON position.

John’s actions grant access to Emily, Michael and Emma onto his records tagged “Italy 2022” and allow them to add their own photos directly into John’s Profile.

To do so, Emily, Michael and Emma login to the system (even with a Free account), view John’s Profile, and add their own photos under Tag “Italy 2022”.

Variation: Photo Grid

Premise: Used to viewing photos in a Grid Format on Instagram, all four users also want a quick way to view the “Italy 2022” photos in a Photo Grid format.

How-To: Each user can login to the system and choose a profile. For John it would be his own, “My Profile” button in Dashboard, Suppl#9, and for the rest it would be John’s profile, Dashboard, Suppl#11. From there, they click on “Records” from the top menu, which brings them to the List View. (Suppl#12 for John and Suppl#20 for Emily, Michael and Emma.) They click on the Photo Grid View Icon from the top-right and reach the Photo Grid View. (Suppl#16 for John and Suppl#22 for the other users.)
