Contributing Records

Premise: Premium User George wants his family members Mary and Daniel to contribute (on his own Profile) information about their Grandfather John.

How-To: George first ensures that Mary and Daniel are in his list of Contacts (Suppl#30) and that they are both in Contact Category “Family”. If not, he adds new contact category “Family” (Suppl#35) and adds Mary and Daniel as new contacts within that category (Suppl#32). He then creates a new Tag “Grandfather John” and shares it to Contacts Category “Family”. (Suppl#28). He makes sure the Contributor slider next to category “(C) Family” is ON.

Both Mary and Daniel can now login to the system even with a Free account (Suppl#1) and access George’s Profile, which will be visible from the Dashboard. (Suppl#11). When they “View” George’s Profile, they see all Records George allows them to see, namely records with tag “Grandfather John”. (Suppl#20). Since both Mary and Daniel are also Contributors, they see an “Add record” button and can add their own Records, which will be Tagged “Grandfather John”, similar to Suppl#23.
